SETH ROSENBERG

David Mitchell Uncensored

Seth Rosenberg was born in Connecticut in 1951 and lived for many years with his wife Jane in Washington DC and later with their son Eli. For many years they ran the very cool and hip Gallery, DC Fine Arts in Georgetown. They were known for their amazing parties full of laughter, art and a little bourbon at their modernist house off MacArthur Blvd. They moved to Cleveland Ohio in 2005 so Jane could take care of her ailing parents. While in Cleveland Seth’s paintings grew more sophisticated and more prolific. It was a great shock when Seth passed away suddenly from a heart attack in 2009. The Cleveland Museum of Art mounted a large exhibition of his work. Now, part of that exhibition can be seen at the McLean Project of the Arts located at 1234 Ingleside Ave, McLean, VA 22101 and is open Tuesday through Friday 10-4pm and Saturday 1-5pm. I attended the opening party and this exhibition is beautifully mounted and is a true tribute to an outstanding artist and a wonderful human being. I raise my glass to you Mr. Rosenberg.
